He went on to study sculpture & painting in Barcelona at Universitat de Barcelona and fine art at the University of Cincinnati's D.A.A.P. program. He was diagnosed with Bi-Polar Type 1 with manic episodes and was hospitalized on several occasions. On one occasion during a manic episode, he lived homeless on the streets of Las Vegas, until he was again hospitalized. His rich story can be seen in much of his artwork & lifestyle. He has worked with many materials ranging from stone to liquid acrylics. A large element in many of his works includes materials that would otherwise be discarded. One particular impressive element of his work is his ability to create a large painting in minimal time.
