A lot of times when I want to make something that’s from the store, but I don’t want to buy it prepackaged, I will just look at the back of the jar.
Here’s an easy recipe for baked beans but eliminate all the extra ingredients that you find from package baked beans.
2 cups organic canned triblend beans. (Or hard beans soaked and boiled traditional way prior night)
A couple pieces of bacon fried and cooked already.
3 tablespoons of molasses
1-2 teaspoon salt
A shake a black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard or half teaspoon mustard
1/2 cup ketchup
1 to 2 tablespoons Worcestershire
1/4 cup brown sugar
I doubled the recipe for 3 of us, with leftovers!
Put on the grill until boiling, stir with a wooden spoon so doesn’t burn or stick to bottom. Cover until served ✌️ & 💓
